It is only 20 days away before USA technically defaults on its loans. Now how did we get there, and I how did one end up owing tons of money to people elsewhere ...read the Chinese for the starters, who are now worried about the debt they hold which is nearing 1.5 trillion dollars at the last count.
The question is does anybody care what happens to people tomorrow or are they just worried about today and how to get by.The entire middle class of america is not going to recover from the housing crisis of the last three years in their life time, and we are going to ensure the future generation is not going to recover from the debt crisis which this country has got it self into.
The crisis in Europe is not going to help either in the long run.It is going to spread, more and more countries are going to go under, may be not immediately but it will surely happen in the future.The problem is not something one can wish away, but has to be addressed quickly and effectively.
What it takes is a lot of sacrifice and good leadership and less of sweeping under the carpet. Does the countries in question have what it takes, do they have the ability to face reality and bite the bullet and do what it takes to make the situation right? Only time will tell till then we can only hope and pray somebody takes its up as his or her problem and makes the right sacrifices and corrects the situation. The average national debt per person, is 50k dollars, a baby born now has 50 k debt on it's head and part of the family debt due to credit cards, and house loan. Now that is not the way to bring in child to this world.Yes the dictum more to share will lessen the burden but then all have to pay.
Time to make that call to your reps in the congress and the senators and not just leave it to them to make the call on your behalf.The Chinese and the others are waiting in the side line, to get their moneys worth. Or are we willing too write of the I 95 to them that we end up paying them every time we want to use it??????
